Doors Open at 6:30pm for Kids/Youth Check In

We are lifelong learners, and we want to encourage you to grow with us in your spiritual pursuit. Every Wednesday is Family Night! We have men’s and women’s groups, kids’ activities for newborn-5th grade, and capital youth nights for 6-12 graders.

Come for encouragement, engagement with the Bible, praying for each other, and always taking a next step in your faith journey. We like to call it the ESPN model (E: encouragement S: scripture P: prayer N: next step). Everything starts at 7pm on Wednesdays – doors open at 6:30pm for check in.

EASTER at CAPITAL

Join us for Easter at Capital on Sunday, April 9, at 10:30am. Jesus is the hope of the world. Often we disqualify ourselves from God’s love because of our history, our failures and our shortcomings. The Bible says that nothing in all of creation can separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And to accept God’s love is to trust His patient, forgiving and gracious stance towards us.

Good Friday | April 7 | 12:15pm

Come join us for a special service, with communion, on Good Friday, April 7, at 12:15pm in the Auditorium as we reflect on the price Jesus paid for our sins.

Sunday | April 9 | 10:30am

Experience Easter at Capital like never before. This musical presentation will spotlight Pastor Rick’s compelling Easter message, Capital Worship, and stories of lives changed by Jesus.

Capital Kids Easter Celebration

Capital Kids is excited to invite children of all ages to our Easter celebration and Candy Hunt on Sunday, April 9 at 10:30am (Doors open at 10am). We will have a candy hunt during the service for the kids. Check in for all ages takes place in the Activity Center Lobby. Nursery and Preschool will meet in their regular classrooms and Kindergarten through 5th grade will be celebrating Easter together in the Activity Center. We will have inflatables, games, candy and more . . . but most importantly, we will be celebrating the reason for Easter – Jesus! Join Capital Kids as we celebrate the life that God has given us through Jesus’ sacrifice. No baskets necessary, we will have plenty of bags for everyone. If this is your first Sunday attending Capital kids, save time at check in by filling out the Kids Guest Card today!

We’d like to welcome you to the Capital Kids Drive In on Saturday, April 15, from 5-8pm for ages birth to 5th Grade! We are going to have a night packed with fun bounce houses, food, a gospel message and movie drive in! Get ready to bring your cardboard car all tricked out for a night at the Capital Kids Drive in!

There are so many videos available on YouTube for how to make a box car. We included one below. You can also follow step-by-step print instructions at the link below. This can be a fun crafting experience, but it’s not necessary for attending the event. There are some options for purchasing cardboard cars available on Amazon.

Parents take advantage of a night out and drop your kids off (9-12th Grade) for “Movie Night” on Friday, March 17, from 5-8:30pm. Registration is required at $10 per student. Food will be provided, inflatable-fun, and ice cream sundaes. Come hang out with Capital Youth. Secure your spot here!

Rooted is a catalyst for life change where discussion is held in a small group environment, creating a safe space for biblical exploration and practical learning experiences. This is a place where you dive into the elements of Christianity, the Bible, the church, and what it means to become a follower of Jesus Christ. Rooted provokes questions, conversations, and beyond-what-is-comfortable group experiences that are designed to help you find yourself in God’s story.

Rooted is a small group course that lasts 10 weeks, beginning March 5, 2023. The cost is $20.00, to cover the price of the book.
