We are following the guidelines given by the Sacramento County Health Department. As a result, and with the health of our members and our community in mind, we will not be having in-person services until local officials and health experts give the green light. As soon as allowed, we will begin in-person services. Our prayer is that day arrives soon.  

We are currently streaming our Sunday services at 9am and 11am on Facebook Live, YouTube, and from our webpage at capitalonline.cc.  Also, every Wednesday at 6:13pm, we are streaming the weekly Unite714.com prayer followed by a conversation with our staff members where you can hear more about what is happening in the life of our church. All of these services are available on demand after the livestream experience.  Other groups and departments of our church are also providing online studies and connections. Our Capital staff are available for virtual meetings through the week. If you are in need of prayer or assistance, please fill out the Get Help form.  You are constantly in our thoughts. We are anxious to meet in person and are praying for you daily. 

Other Counties bordering Sacramento County are at various stages of progress regarding COVID-19 regulations.  Most places of worship are following the local guidelines while a few have chosen to deny the validity of the regulations.  I am asked regularly why we are still following our local leaders. Our District Secretary-Treasurer, Dr. Jay Herndon, wrote a paper detailing the theological implications of defying the governing authorities.  It is titled, “Faithful Disobedience,” and can be accessed here, along with other important elements for consideration below. Our leadership team is living in agreement with the thoughts contained in this document.  We continue to seek wisdom from the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and the wisdom found in the counsel of many.  Great days are ahead for us as we remain faithful to the Lord’s work.
