Women’s Bible Study

We are excited to gather on Zoom for a brand new study, Elijah, by Priscilla Shirer, this winter! On Monday Evenings, beginning January 11 – February 22, at 7pm, we will study the Word and break into small groups for discussion and connection each week.

Old Testament heroes are known for their most celebrated moments: Moses dividing the Red Sea; David slaying Goliath; Gideon routing an army; Joshua marching around the defiant walls of Jericho. And Elijah – calling down fire on Mount Carmel.

Blinded by the remarkable narratives of our biblical heroes, we can forget that each had a backstory – months and years of development which fortified their spiritual muscle and prepared them for the tasks that made their lives unforgettable.

Serious believers long to summon up boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel, and pray down heaven into impossible situations, yet few are willing to go through the process required to get there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Those who patiently wait on God in the darkness emerge with their holy loyalty cemented, courage emblazoned, and confident belief in Him set afire.

We hope to see YOU there!!!

Prayer is the key to our future.

It is time for a fresh prayer movement.  It is prayer that changes things.

21 Days Fasting + Prayer

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

January 7-27, 2021
Fast + Pray BookletPrayer Schedule

As we continue through this season of uncertainty, we want to spend time in prayer to turn our hearts toward the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, take the time to reflect and express gratitude for how God worked in 2020, and look forward with expectation for renewed hope and strength for 2021! From January 7-27, we will partake in 21 days of prayer. Each day, a pastor will lead us in a time of prayer through social media, each focusing on a different topic. We encourage you to consider fasting a meal or giving up something that feels sacrificial to join with us throughout this time.

21 DAYS OF PRAYER IS FOR YOU

If you sense God has more for your life, 21 Days of Prayer is a great place to start believing Him for all that He has for you. As you practice seeking Him first, He will move on your behalf like never before. You will start to see the power of prayer impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life. Whether you join us in person or online, we would love you to be part of 21 Days of Prayer.

21 Days of Prayer – Daily Focuses

FASTING

The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Biblical fasting always has to do with eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose; it hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out. It also enables us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and prepares our hearts for all the good things God desires to bring into our lives. Remember, your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and, most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.

TYPES OF FASTS

Complete Fast

In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.

Selective Fast

Selective fasting involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Partial Fast

This fast is sometimes called the “Jewish Fast” and involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00am to 3:00pm, or from sunup to sundown.

Soul Fast

This fast is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.
