It hurts when loss hits your life. Find help through GriefShare.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring support group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You do not have to go through the grieving process alone.

You are invited to join our GriefShare Support Group via Zoom which will meet weekly Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-8:00pm from June 1 through August 24.  We share a video, have discussion and sharing, and look through the workbook assignments for the coming week. It’s very casual and helpful.

In addition to losing a spouse, sibling, child, friend, or other family member, many have recently experienced life-changing losses of all varieties. This 13-week, guided session will help you navigate your personal experience of grief and loneliness.  Recently GriefShare released an excellent 15-minute video titled, “COVID-19 & Grief.”  This video and other resources are available to all who register for the weekly support group.  We look forward to having you join us.

SUNDAY SERVICE | 9 AM & 11 AM

On Friday, February 5, we learned that the Supreme Court ruled that states could not prevent churches from meeting in person. We are thrilled that we can begin to meet together again in person on Sunday mornings, and also for midweek programs. 

Our first Sunday back together is Sunday, February 14. We can have a maximum capacity of 700 people in our auditorium, allowing for a much more significant amount of guests than were previously allowed.

For the time being, we will be returning to TWO services, both online and in person, at 9am & 11am

In order to attend our services online, we will require a waiver to be signed by all our attendees. This waiver will be valid for ALL future events at Capital. To sign the waiver, please click the link below. We will also have waivers available at our Sunday services. 

We are also excited to begin providing programs for Capital Kids as well! Capital Kids is currently available during the 9am service for kids 3 years-5th Grade. You can find more information about Capital Kids on their webpage!

  • Minimizing close contact among guests.
  • Room configurations and capacity limitations.
  • Family style seating (no child care provided at this time) but feel free to bring activities for your children to help keep them occupied.
  • Our café has not reopened but feel free to bring your own beverages into service with you.
  • Masks required on campus and if you don’t have one, we’ll provide one for you!

To keep you and all our staff, volunteers, and attendees safe, we are following local CA COVID-19 State health department guidelines and requiring that everyone is assessed for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors before entering our campus.

Here are the questions you will be asked when you reserve your seats.

Keep in mind, if you answer yes to #1 or #2 we are unable to have you on campus at this time. Please monitor your health and we hope to see you back on campus soon.

If you answer yes to #3, #4 or #5 please evaluate the environments you’ve been exposed to and if there’s any reason to reconsider being in a large community gathering. 

Self-Check Health Assessment Questions:

  • #1 Have you/any member of your household had any signs or symptoms of a fever in the past 24 hours such as chills, sweats, felt “feverish”, or had a temperature that is elevated for you/100.0F or greater?
  • #2 Have any member of your household had any close contact in the last 14 days with someone with a diagnosis of COVID-19?
  • #3 Have you/any member of your household traveled internationally or outside of the state in the last 14 days?
  • #4 Have you/anyone in your household visited or received treatment in a hospital, nursing home, long-term care, or other health care facility in the past 30 days?
  • #5 Are you/anyone in your household a health care provider or emergency responder that may potentially have a high level of exposure to COVID-19?
Sanitization/Cleaning Protocols
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where needed & appropriate for staff, volunteers, and guests.
  • Detailed safety/sanitization protocols have been implemented. 
Online Service Options
  •  Online service times will move to 9am.
  • All online options will remain on an ongoing basis.

On Monday, February 15, we are hosting a Blood Drive in the Activity Center from 10am-4pm. Give blood and learn your antibody results. To comply with social distancing, appointments are required. PAST RESULTS
In July 2020, our blood drive came in over projection and collected 44 lifesaving pints, registered 51 donors, and had 7 first time donors! One pint can save up to three lives, so as many as 132 patients’ lives will be transformed because of the precious gift of blood from our donors. In November 2020, the blood drive registered 39 donors, collected 39 lifesaving pints and collected one plasma unit. What was great was there were 10 first time donors!  That drive estimated 117 patient’s lives transformed.

When the COVID-19 crisis hit, Senior Pastor Rick Cole realized the need would be great for people who would be losing their income and maybe their job.  That is when he set about to do something about it. “We need to mobilize our church to help meet the needs of our neighborhood and community,” Pastor Cole communicated to his team.  That is when the idea of a grocery drive became a reality.

Church volunteers will be putting together bags of groceries to be handed out, free of charge, until they are all gone.

Are you, or someone you know, in need of assistance this Christmas?

Capital’s Giving Tree was created to help families in need this Christmas. Nominate yourself or a friend/family member in need this year to receive assistance with providing an incredible Christmas experience. Our goal is to provide gift cards to the families nominated so they can have dignity and joy in purchasing gifts for their children this season. 
Nominations will be received until Sunday, November 29. 
Please fill out the form to the best of your ability so we can match the nominated family with a donor.
This year, in addition to providing gift cards, we are setting up a Toy Workshop for our Giving Tree families! If you are chosen as a recipient, there will be time slots provided to sign up to pick up your gifts on 12/10, 12/11, and 12/12. Recipient will receive an email with confirmation of those details by the first week of December.
