It’s amazing to think that this is the 63rd Annual Singing Christmas Tree!  Nearly 750,000 people have experienced this kind of rich historical experience since 1956 and it only happens because our entire Capital church family gets excited about presenting the Christmas story with excellence and passion!

This year’s Singing Christmas Tree, A Very Merry Christmas is set in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.  It was a timeless era with that vintage Christmas feel.

While walking on the cobbled streets and looking into the store fronts of the mom and pop shops, you’ll see and feel the spirit of Christmas.  Radio and newspapers were the way you stayed informed of upcoming political rivals, trades, and news that affected your town. Journalists were loved and hated as they covered all sorts of stories.

Rose, a new journalist from the Daily Tribune, arrives in Stewardsville to report on the town’s annual Christmas presentation.  She encounters the town tycoon, Henry Hanson, who owns half of the town. He is trying to shut down the Christmas presentation because it doesn’t produce the one thing he loves . . . money.  This Christmas, Stewardsville and Henry Hanson are about to be on the front pages of all the newspapers as we watch them catch what Christmas is truly all about.
