June 11 | 5pm | Chapel

I would like to share with you a significant development that we have been processing for several months. The past three years presented our organization with significant financial challenges. We have experienced God’s provision through these challenges every step of the way. One of our friends gave with extreme generosity through what he felt God called him to do. Our church and school families have been faithful, and we have been blessed by those who have given generously.

Several potential paths have been explored to strengthen our financial foundations. We are blessed by relationships with significant churches and church leaders in our community. Over the past two months, one of our friends and partners in ministry has offered to add their strength to our legacy in the community. This path was formally agreed upon last week. We have crafted a joint statement that you can read here. We have publicly communicated this information with our respective congregations on Sunday, May 28. The school families were notified Sunday afternoon as well.

I am grateful for your partnership in the ministry of Capital Christian, and I am praying God’s blessing upon you and your family

In light of this announcement, we will hold a Family Meeting on Sunday, June 11, at 5pm in the Chapel so Pastor Rick can share his heart and help answer any questions you may have.

It is important during seasons of change to provide an opportunity for clear communication with our congregation. We want to provide time for questions to clarify the information that is made public. It is important to be able to share what led to this decision and reassure our congregation that this is the best decision for our future. Over the summer we will follow our corporate bylaws and schedule a meeting for our members to approve the next steps. This informational meeting helps as preparation for that meeting as well.

Leading well through change and transition is very important to us. We want to dispel rumors and bring clarity to any confusion or conflicting statements.  We hope to see you there.
