THE GOLDEN RULE
Read: Matthew 23:11-12, Luke 6:27-36
Some of our common relational rules are:
Reciprocal Rule: Whatever you do for me, that’s what I’ll do for you; you scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.
Ricochet Rule: Do to someone based on what some other person has done to you.
Hidden Motive Rule: I act like I’m doing it for you, but it’s really to get what I want.
How to move forward for a breakthrough:
1- THINK ABOUT THE THINGS YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR IN OTHERS
2- LOVE IS NOT RECIPROCAL; LOVE IS SACRIFICIAL
3- THE GIFTS WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN ARE MEANT TO BE SHARED
