SPRING 2021 BIBLE STUDY

March 15 – April 19, 2021

We are excited to gather on Zoom for a brand new study, Seamless, by Angie Smith, this spring! On Monday Evenings, beginning March 15 – April 19, at 7pm, we will study the Word and break into small groups for discussion and connection each week.

Seamless covers the people, places, and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Whether you’ve grown up hearing Bible stories or you’re exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming.

Experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture. Discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments.

Each week is accompanied by maps, general Bible facts, and word studies.

GriefShare

GriefShare

Wednesdays | 6:30pm | Zoom

It hurts when loss hits your life. Find help through GriefShare.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring support group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You do not have to go through the grieving process alone.

You are invited to join our GriefShare Support Group via Zoom which will meet weekly Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-8:00pm from June 1 through August 24.  We share a video, have discussion and sharing, and look through the workbook assignments for the coming week. It’s very casual and helpful.

In addition to losing a spouse, sibling, child, friend, or other family member, many have recently experienced life-changing losses of all varieties. This 13-week, guided session will help you navigate your personal experience of grief and loneliness.  Recently GriefShare released an excellent 15-minute video titled, “COVID-19 & Grief.”  This video and other resources are available to all who register for the weekly support group.  We look forward to having you join us.

For information and registration, please email Group Leader, Steve Brown, at SBrown@GFGB.co (just .co NOT .com) or call/text him at 916-802-1318.  Feel free to ask questions and get registered. Steve will provide you with the information needed for logging into the weekly Zoom meetings and accessing the excellent resources produced by GriefShare.

We look forward to meeting you!

Women’s Bible Study

We are excited to gather on Zoom for a brand new study, Elijah, by Priscilla Shirer, this winter! On Monday Evenings, beginning January 11 – February 22, at 7pm, we will study the Word and break into small groups for discussion and connection each week.

Old Testament heroes are known for their most celebrated moments: Moses dividing the Red Sea; David slaying Goliath; Gideon routing an army; Joshua marching around the defiant walls of Jericho. And Elijah – calling down fire on Mount Carmel.

Blinded by the remarkable narratives of our biblical heroes, we can forget that each had a backstory – months and years of development which fortified their spiritual muscle and prepared them for the tasks that made their lives unforgettable.

Serious believers long to summon up boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel, and pray down heaven into impossible situations, yet few are willing to go through the process required to get there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Those who patiently wait on God in the darkness emerge with their holy loyalty cemented, courage emblazoned, and confident belief in Him set afire.

We hope to see YOU there!!!
