Nominate a Family

Capital’s Giving Tree was created to help families in need this Christmas. Nominate yourself or a friend/family member in need this year to receive assistance with providing an incredible Christmas experience. Our goal is to provide gift cards to the families nominated so they can have dignity and joy in purchasing gifts for their children this season. Capital Giving Tree is only available to nominees who live in the greater Sacramento area.

Nominations will be received through Sunday, November 28.

December 5 & 12

Adopt a Family

This year we would love to provide a way to support local families in our community who could use a little extra help this Christmas providing meaningful gifts for their children. If you would like to sponsor a family (either as an individual or as a Connect Group) please click the link below.

Move Up Sunday

CAPITAL KIDS PROMOTION WEEK

Preschool-5th Grade | August 8 | 9 & 11am

The time is officially here to celebrate the growth of our children this year! On Sunday morning, August 8, all preschoolers, kids, and students promote to their new age groups at 9 & 11am. Capital Kids check is is available in the Activity Center Lobby. Any host can help direct you to a new room if you have any questions.

*The biggest adjustment to note is for our 5th graders. Our middle school group, Local 678, meets on Sundays at the 11am service hour only. If your 5th grader has been attending Capital Kids at 9am, they can either attend the regular adult service with you, or you can bring them for the 11am hour to room A24 to check in as a new 6th grader!

Other age and room adjustments are as follows for those entering:

  • 3-4 year olds | S11 with Mrs. Tina
  • K-1 grades | S9 with Mr. Julian
  • 2-5 grades | Activity Center with Pastor Drew

Our 8th graders that will be promoting into high school will have a goodbye party with Pastor Jonnie on August 21. There are limited spots for this party. Parents can reach out for more info by emailing jonathan.bansuelo@capitalonline.cc or joining the 678 parents Facebook group.

Back-to-School Prayer

Back-to-School Prayer

WEDNESDAY | 7PM

Prayer Emphasis: Kindergarten – College-age Students

It’s so hard to believe that the summer is winding down and it’s time to get ready to head back to school. We want you to know that Capital is here to support, pray, and walk alongside you this school year – whether that be in a building, online or at home.  We also understand the importance of our church’s support of our students, educators and administrators. Knowing they have a church walking alongside them makes a huge difference to our students  – no matter what stage of school they are in – and educators alike.

Join us on Wednesday, August 11 at 7pm in the Auditorium for a Back-to-School prayer and worship night! Kids K-8th grade can start the night checking into their regular rooms and will be brought over in the middle of service to be prayed over. High school and college students are invited to attend the prayer gathering beginning at 7pm.

Here are some scriptures to pray over our students this year:
