Zoom classes; we have done all of them.
Except possibly Mental Health; being shut down will have an impact on many in CR (without meeting we may face increased drug/alcohol abuse, domestic abuse, child abuse, etc….which can lead to more mental health issues.
I do not fear physical contact but will respect people’s wishes. I recommend that prayer at the alter is paramount because of all the vital requests submitted ie: death, severe illness of relatives or self, loss of job, divorce etc. Or we could use the SCT booth for prayer. I will volunteer. We do it already.

My biggest concerns are my children. I have an almost 9 and almost 3 year old. I’m concerned about having them go to child care. When I return to church I will most likely have them stay with me until I feel more comfortable sending them to their class.
What if children’s services were held outside? Weather permitting of course. During the growth track campus tour, Laine shared the vision of the children’s annex in the middle school parking lot. Maybe set up the stage out there? Then it’s easy to mark social distances on the ground that’s temporary just for this season. It will reduce the total amount of people allowed inside the building and give the kids more space too. It can be a summer church camp theme to help the kids adjust to the changes. So it’s a fun memory. You could use hay bails as the seats so you know how many kids you can accommodate and have parents pre-register online so you can manage volume for each service. You can assign numbers to the hay bails and have an usher show them to their seat. I’m sure you could get someone to donate pop up tents for shade cover. Maybe give away hand held fans to the kids? Let me know if this sounds like a valid option and I would be glad to help solicitation for set up supplies or put in place organizational structure to what church outside looks like. Expanding Capital’s online presence to include the kids would be amazing. Giving them a positive YouTube outlet so they can be exposed to Christian values and kids worship songs even if they can’t make it into church. I’m praying for capital leadership during this time since there is so much to consider. Thank you for your time!
