Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was not just a great African American; he was a great American, a hero for all people in all times.  Don’t miss the citywide Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration service Sunday, January 19, at 5:30pm at Capital.  This is a unique gathering of Sacramento area churches, community leaders, and citizens celebrating the life, the dream, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  This year’s keynote speaker is Bishop Broderick A. Huggins, Sr. joined by the MLK Celebration Choir.  We will present the “Lifetime Achievement Award” to an individual who has made a tremendous impact on the Sacramento region over the past 30 years, as well as “Difference Maker” awards to individuals who have made major contributions in our local communities. You won’t want to miss it!

Volunteers needed!
There are many volunteers needed to make the MLK celebration a success.  Help Capital Christian Center host pastors, civic leaders, and individuals from throughout the Sacramento community.  Sign up at Connect Central or online at
