We strive to create an atmosphere of fun and family. We desire for Capital Youth to not only be a point of connection for a community of believers, but also a refuge for all students, regardless of the current stage of their spiritual journey. Students experience connection, worship, challenging messages, group discussion, and fun activities. Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm & Sunday Mornings at 9 & 10:30am
Volunteering
If your students are interested in volunteering on Sundays, we have multiple opportunities available from media, production, Capital Kids, ushering, and serving other aspects of the church. We want to help develop a culture of volunteerism while creating a sense of ownership of Capital. If interested, fill out the volunteer form at capitalonline.cc/youth.

Trent Ellerman
High School Youth Pastor
Hey! My name is Trent Ellerman. I am married to my beautiful wife, Phina, since 2017. I have deep roots at Capital as I attended youth group when I was in high school. While attending the youth summer camp, I felt called into ministry. I knew I could use my story and life experiences to help guide students. After a year of junior college, I decided to pursue ministry through Capital’s Master Commission program. While interning, I grew one of the largest small groups. I also pursued an internship in graphic design and was hired onto Capital’s staff full-time in 2017 as the art director. I’m excited to build a leadership team and pour into our high school student’s lives starting the new year of 2023.

James Logan
Middle School Youth Pastor
Hey there! I’m James Logan. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Heather, since 1999. We have two amazing daughters named Jasmine and Mikayla. Heather works for a web design and development company and she recently completed her degree in Psychology, gearing up for her next chapter. Jasmine is pursuing a career in healthcare in Arizona, while Mikayla is a student at Capital Christian School, actively involved in student government, student worship, and cheer leading. As for me, I’m an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and received my ordination right here at Capital in 2011. Before my current role as the IT Manager at Capital, my wife and I served in Kids and Youth ministry together since 2002. While I continue to serve the church and school at Capital through the ministry of IT, my heart certainly belongs to these middle school students. It’s such a unique and transformative time in their lives, and I believe we can make a real impact on them. Heather and I have had some incredible experiences individually and together, which have given us a deep understanding and connection with these students. Our main goal is to build relationships, create a safe space, and help our students understand who they are in Christ as distinct individuals with a unique purpose. We want to have fun, ask questions, and grapple with the things life throws at us on the daily. We’re excited to meet you and your families. Let’s embark on this journey together!
