Hello, my sister Shelley is going to have major surgery on Tuesday and due to the nature of it, it will take all day and include a long hospital stay and later time at a SNF. She has severe scoliosis and essentially the surgeons will rebuild her spine. Two specialists will operate on her at the same time. The good news is she is flying in from Oregon to have it done at UCSF, which i learned is considered to be an expert. She has been warned that the recovery will be painful and she will need to be on pain meds for several months. I am blessed to work remotely so I will be able to go visit her for a few weeks when she returns. Thank you so much!
