WATER BAPTISM

Being baptized in water is a major step that all believers in Jesus Christ take in their life. Baptism by immersion in water is a physical symbol of your new life as a follower of Jesus. We identify with Jesus’ death and burial for our sins, and then His resurrection to eternal life.

Water Baptism is offered on the first Sunday of every month. If you are interested in being baptized, please complete the Baptism Interest Form below.

WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED?

Anyone who is a believer in Jesus as Savior! Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Jesus set the example for us to follow. Mark 1:9, “At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.”

We provide baptism for children under 12 with their parents’ approval, through Capital Kids. For more information, please email .

Baptism is also recommended if you were baptized as an infant and have not been baptized since making a personal decision to believe in Jesus. Additionally, if you were once baptized by immersion in water but had a season of straying from faith, we encourage a fresh baptism experience!

HOW DO I GET BAPTIZED?

Water baptism is offered the first Sunday of each month at the beginning of both services at 9am and 11am. A brief meeting is held in Room S1 30 minutes before the start of the service (8:30am and 10:30am). It is necessary to be on time for this orientation meeting. Baptism will then occur during the worship portion of the service. Please read the Water Baptism brochure prior to being baptized.

Bring a change of clothing, towel, and plastic bag for wet clothing. Restrooms and dressing areas are provided near the baptistry where you can change into shorts and a shirt to be baptized in. For more information, email
