Capital is getting a software upgrade called Fellowship One! On Sunday, August 11, we are launching a new online portal where you will be able to access all things “Capital.” You will be able to login to the “Capital HUB” to search and sign up for groups, update your contact info, and so much more!
If you have filled out a guest card, volunteered at any event, or given money to Capital, your information is part of our records. The problem is, we are human. Your name very well could be placed in our database as “Paula” when in fact you are a guy and your name is “Paul.” Help us serve you better by updating your personal information.
What do I need to do?
Create an account so we know who you are. The only things required are your name, email, and password.
What can I do after I create a Fellowship One account?
Edit your personal information (address, family information, Facebook links, twitter links included)
Search, find, and register for groups
View a Church Directory (if you opt in)
STEP ONE – CREATE AN ACCOUNT
1. Log on to capitalonline.cc
2 . Click here!
3. Enter your name, email address, and create a password (**must have an email address to set up your account)
4. Upload a photo, if desired
5. Update your privacy settings
6. Opt in to the Church Directory, if desired
STEP TWO – FIND A GROUP
- If you are in a small group, confirm that you are in the right group with the correct leaders under “your groups.”
- Not in a group? Search groups by zip code or category.
- With your information up-to-date, your small group will be able to contact you and let you know when an upcoming meeting takes place. If you’re not connected in a group, you can search by zip code or category and contact a group leader for more information.
Sunday, August 11 and 18
You will have the ability to create your account in the Lobby using a tablet if you do not have access to a computer throughout the week. Remember, you have to have an email address in order to create an account. If you do not have an email address, we will have paper forms available to fill out if you need to update your contact information in any way. You can also fill out the guest information card at any time to update your information.
What is an Online Church Directory?
You can opt in to the online Church Directory under your personal settings. See others that are in our community.
Privacy is set by YOU. You can share as much or as little as you want. From just your name and city only, to your name and email address, or let everybody know what’s going on in your world by sharing your name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers, and social networks. YOU control what is seen.
Click on the level you want others to see (trying to slide the bar does not work).
Why do you need my birth date?
Four reasons, really – none of them with any hidden agenda:
Knowing the life stage you’re in helps us make sure you get information that is helpful to you. You can be assured that only appropriate church staff will see the year of birth.
This information guarantees your online account information is secure—so hackers can’t access your personal information.
Although there is no “inappropriate” content on our site, certain events and classes are age restricted. The birth date prevents children from registering for adult events.
You will be asked for your birth date if you forget your username and password as a security precaution to protect your account.
I don’t want to be bombarded or spammed with church mailings.
Don’t worry. We hate that, too. We even have a team dedicated to protecting your time and privacy. The purpose of your Capital HUB account is to provide us with accurate information so we can get you connected and serve you better. It’s not for us to capture your information so we can invade your personal space, just adding more noise and clutter to your life. We’re serious about that.
I’m nervous about sharing my personal information online.
Capital respects your privacy and encourages you to protect your personal information online. That’s why we’ve made our database completely secure. Let’s clarify what you won’t get when you create an account:
spammed, harassed, and profiled for marketing purposes
deluged with information you don’t want, don’t need, or didn’t ask for
infiltrated by spyware or asked for money
instant-messaged by random strangers
email forwards with cookie recipes, chain letters, or angel poems
We do not share your information with any third parties.
Are you excited about this upgrade? There are several other features that will be released in the upcoming months. Stay tuned!
